Roger's current big project is a tricycle, the love child of a Volkswagen Bug and a motorcycle. The design is entirely Roger's own, and he tends not to draw up plans. He simply starts shaping and welding. Here Roger applies a coat of finish to the shell of the tricycle. The shell is completely handmade, with steel bars forming an armature over which fiberglass cloth impregnated with epoxy resin is draped. The large curved wheel-cover at left was hand-bent, using a semicircle inscribed in pencil on a workbench as a guide.
